Last Friday, Casey introduced the Magical Minds to their very own worms. Kagunda, our class mascot, was quite excited by this idea and thought they might taste good. But, Kagunda also wanted to know how worms live. We conducted a short investigation into the preferred habitats of worms.
We placed a pile of worms in a well-lit area. We watched to see what would happen to the worms. Would they move? Do they like the light and heat?
After making predictions, we observed the behavior of the worms. We watched as they squirmed underneath the layers of damp newspaper. It turns out the worms like a cool and damp environment.
After our little experiment, Casey helped them build a worm bin, which now lives in our classroom. Check out the photos below of their awesome teamwork!
