All About Energy – What is Energy?
The Magical Minds begin a new unit exploring energy, its sources, uses and movement. This week we investigate the different forms of energy, kinetic and active. We will play with magnets, flashlights and vehicles powered by elastic energy (a wound up rubber band).
We start the New Year by reviewing our multiplication skills. We dust off our skills with card and dice games, computer games, SmartBoard activities and silly word problems.
Have you ever noticed that when the weather turns bad in your book something bad happens to the characters? Doesn’t it seem like evil characters are always ugly or disfigured? This week we look at how authors use descriptive language to imply something about their characters, settings and events.
