It's questions like these that peppered the day after an inspiring morning message from our Kindergarten teachers about doing the right thing even when no one is watching.
This group of thoughtful children often respond with examples of good behavior and "trying your best." But, we also talk about how we can be proud of our work. After carefully crafting Self-Portraits, the Magical Minds used their best presentation skills to share two things they were proud of.
"The ability to heal people with my hand if they got hurt."
"The ability to breath underwater so I could swim with the whales."
"I would want to help other people love each other."
"I want a force field so I could protect people if they got in trouble."
But, my all time favorite moment came from our new friend, Luci. Her chosen magical power is the ability to spread kindness. As we were walking down to lunch she tells me that if her powers were not enough to help people be kind she would call upon the help of Mr. H who had chosen the power to make people smile. Luci informed me that if her powers ever ran low, she and Mr. H could work together to bring joy into the world.
Like I always say, "Teamwork makes the dream work." Yet another thing to be proud of.
How would life be different for you if you had magical powers?
